Venezuelan Traitor Update

Hugo Chavez is now saying that anyone who votes against the proposed Constitutional reforms in venezuela -- reforms which would give him dictatorial powers, including the ability to seize land at will -- is a traitor, saying further that, ”He’s against me, against the revolution and against the people.” Now it doesn't take a brain scientist to figure out what he means by this. We all know what happens to traitors.

In many ways, this is truly remarkable. What we see happening in Venezuela is democracy at work to actively destroy itself. My God, is Nietzsche right about EVERYTHING?

"Nietzsche right about EVERYTHING?"

Everything except Wagner.

Actually, after seeing one of the Ring Cycle, I am convinced Nietzsche was especially right about Wagner -- post-hero-worship phase, that is. The opera was an amalgam of medieval romance, Modern music, and Greek tragedy, with a chorus thrown in without any understanding of what a chorus is for. It was a complete hodgepodge, and when I saw it, I understood why Nietzsche reacted as he did to Wagner's work.

Chavez made it clear that he would end democracy in Venezuela years ago. He represented himself as the Savior of the people in order to get a large segment of the population to reject democracy on his behalf.
