Climate Models Wrong

Shortly after the Nobel Prize Committee gave out one of the most questionable Peace Prizes ever, a report is now in that says we cannot trust the results of the same 22 models that were the basis for giving out the Prize. In each of the other Nobel Prizes, the people who receive the prizes have to have shown a significant contribution to their field, with actual results resulting in growth of knowledge. Shouldn't the Peace Prize be given to those who have produced actual peace? I don't suppose that those who received the Peace Prize with Al Gore will offer to give it back, though. The Left is shameless that way.

In the meantime, the U.S. is in Bali getting ready to agree to a climate change agreement based on these same models that have proven unable to predict anything. Before anyone decides to do anything, we need to have models that come closer to predicting reality.

I have said before, and I will say it again: the Left are not interested in the environment. Leftist environmentalists are Red, not Green.

I hate how most discussion of "climate change" these days is hysterical, alarmist anti-trade and anti-human. Never mind the fact that so many countries are busy chopping down their forests, washing all their topsoil downstream and killing off irreplaceable and profitable biodiversity. It's blasphemy to even suggest that "saving the environment" might be reconciled with turning a profit or continued technological advancement. Instead, according to the "greens," we somehow have to humbly contrive a way for Adam and Eve to put the apple back on the tree--basically the same old socialist utopian myth except species hierarchy has replaced class hierarchy as the ultimate evil.

I'll take E.O. Wilson over Al Gore any day. People are right to be worried about the environment, but they need to get their heads out of their asses.

Thank you -- I'll take Wilson over Gore any day.

Nobody likes to notice the fact that it's the richest countries that are the cleanest, that work to save their forests and biodiversity -- and the poorest (which are also those that have fewest property rights protections) that devastate their environments. All the socialist dystopias of the 20th century were far worse polluters than anyone else. Yet it's socialism that the Leftist greens are looking toward.
