Yeah. Many of the postmodernist thinkers are (or were).

Considering how much postmodern thought relies on the standard social science model, I'm not surprised. I guess Zizek's vulgar tangents about fist-fucking in the garden of Eden and the like would be better described as "cultural criticism."

It's nice to see Ed Wilson on the list.

Society, culture . . . it's not all that surprising, considering the vulgarity of much pomo art and literature. Take a look too at the primary influences on French pomo thought: surrealism, fascism, Bataille, de Sade . . . a pretty vulgar lot.

There were some good ones on the list.
