It is time we had an interdisciplinary world. It is time we created a society where all levels of thinking and society can work together – so the individual psychologies can live together in a more integrated society. Interdisciplinary thinking tries to promote environmentalism, capitalism, religion, heroic individualism, and families simultaneously. Beauty, truth, and ethics are united.

John Edwards: Prom Queen Wannabe
Is anyone really all that surprised that John Edwards endorsed Obama? Or that he did it when it was pretty safely clear that Obama had sewn up the nomination? He's a little slut that way: trying to find out who the popular kid is before he goes to bed with them. Trying to get another VP slot, seems to me.

With all due respect, that's a pretty misogynist noun you've got there.
Which one? "Queen" or "slut"? Typically, if you call someone a "prom queen," you are accusing them of trying to be popular, regardless of gender. Also, to my mind, a slut is also gender-neutral. I don't think anywhere in this posting I disparaged women as a whole.
Slut. A case can be made for its gender neutrality, although IMO it's a relatively weak one, but it's still not a term I'd bandy about. Then again, it's your blog. Maybe I do have a little case of PC rabies.
Misogyny is hatred of women. Just because you call even a woman a slut, that's not denigrating all women -- it's just a descriptive (though derogatory) term for the particular woman in question. Since there isn't really an equivalent term for men, I just expanded it to include men. Plus, I was playing off of calling him a prom queen. But also, I call men sluts all the time.
Always keep in mind that PC originated in the ideology of Heidegger. You don't want to emulate Heidegger, now do you? ;-)
All the ladies go ga-ga over Heidegger.
