Cellular Networks Resemble Social Networks

Here is an interesting article that points out that the molecular biology of cells are structured similarly to societies, and that the least complex systems employ more top-down gene-regulatory structures, while the most complex systems employ decentralized, polycentric, democratic structures. They're just metaphors, Troy! They are also metaphors for my cup of coffee, which is a metaphor for the band Phish, which is a metaphor for a raisin bran muffin, which is a metaphor for a Phillies baseball cap. Since there are no literal meanings, everything can serve just fine as a metaphor for everything else, and all your are saying is just hsgafkjsdgfjgasjfgasjhdgfhjgsadfjkgasdjhkfghj.

Which is true! So QED.
